PLATFORM NOTICE – INTERMEDIARY MODEL ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The Platform "Beezybee" is a pure intermediary platform in the sense of a technical marketplace. It operates the following business areas: a) Beezybee – neighborhood help marketplace As a platform, Beezybee acts as an intermediary between users who offer or seek household-related services and neighborhood help (e.g. gardening, moving help, shopping assistance, cleaning). Beezybee is neither an employer, an employee, an employment agency within the meaning of Section 36 SGB III (German Social Code, Book III), nor a party to the contracts concluded between users. The contractual relationship arises exclusively between the respective users. The Platform merely provides the technical infrastructure. b) Borrowbee – rental marketplace As a platform, Borrowbee acts as an intermediary between users who wish to lend or rent out everyday items. Here, too, Beezybee is neither a party to the rental relationship nor the owner of the items intermediated. The rental contract arises exclusively between the Lender and the Renter. The Platform assumes no liability for the condition, the availability, or the suitability of the items offered. The Platform is currently available regionally and is being expanded gradually. For both business areas, the following applies: • Under its current business model, Beezybee is not an employment agency within the meaning of Section 36 SGB III and is not subject to the licensing requirement under Section 178 SGB III. • Beezybee does not act as a party to the contracts concluded between users. • Beezybee is neither the employer nor the client of the persons active on the Platform. • Users are themselves responsible for compliance with all tax, social security, and trade-law obligations. • Before applying for the first time, each user confirms a binding Helper Disclaimer that draws attention to their own responsibility for trade registration (Section 14 GewO, German Trade Regulation Act), taxation (Section 22 No. 3 EStG, German Income Tax Act), social security, and the avoidance of undeclared work (SchwarzArbG, German Act to Combat Undeclared Work). • The Platform distinguishes between "Basic status without trade proof on file" (Tier 1) and "Professional with proof on file" (Tier 2). The professional status and the intermediation of license-required jobs are in preparation; currently, only simple activities not subject to authorisation (Tier 1) are intermediated. • The Platform displays informational tax notices (including on the exemption threshold of Section 22 No. 3 EStG) and collects the tax identification number for reportable activities. This does not constitute a tax assessment. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 4. PAYMENT PROCESSING ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Payment processing on the Platform is carried out via: Stripe Payments Europe Limited 1 Grand Canal Street Lower Grand Canal Dock Dublin, D02 H210 Ireland Stripe is an authorised e-money issuer regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. The use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms of use (Stripe Connected Account Agreement). Payment processing is carried out via Stripe's infrastructure; payouts to recipients are only triggered in accordance with the GTC (held-back payout). ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5. DATA PROCESSING AND HOSTING ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The hosting of the Platform and the data storage are carried out via: Google Ireland Limited (Firebase) Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4 Ireland Data centre location: europe-west3 (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) The Platform uses AI-supported features (including price determination, content moderation, and categorisation) via the API of: OpenAI, L.L.C. 3180 18th Street San Francisco, CA 94110 USA For the processing of personal data by OpenAI, appropriate safeguards exist pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR (in particular Standard Contractual Clauses and a Data Processing Agreement). TAX REPORTING OBLIGATIONS (DAC7 / PStTG) ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── As a platform operator, Beezybee is subject to the reporting obligations under the German Platform Tax Transparency Act (Plattformen-Steuertransparenzgesetz, PStTG), which transposes EU Directive 2021/514 (DAC7) into German law. Accordingly, Beezybee is obliged to transmit certain information about reportable providers to the German Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern, BZSt). Details on this can be found in our Terms of Use and in the Privacy Policy. Users of the Platform are obliged to provide the information required for the report completely and truthfully. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 7. CONSUMER DISPUTE RESOLUTION ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform operated by the European Commission was discontinued as of 20 July 2025; a reference to it is therefore omitted. You can find our email address above in this Legal Notice. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 VSBG, German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act). ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 8. LIABILITY FOR CONTENT ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with the general laws pursuant to Section 7(1) DDG. According to Sections 8 to 10 DDG, however, we as a service provider are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. However, liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which we become aware of a specific legal infringement. Upon becoming aware of corresponding legal infringements, we will remove such content immediately. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9. LIABILITY FOR LINKS ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Our offering contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time of linking. Unlawful content was not identifiable at the time of linking. However, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of a legal infringement. Upon becoming aware of legal infringements, we will remove such links immediately. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10. COPYRIGHT ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The content and works created by the operator of this Platform are subject to German copyright law. The reproduction, editing, distribution, and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright law require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this page are permitted only for private, non-commercial use. Insofar as the content on this Platform was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. In particular, third-party content is identified as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, we ask that you notify us accordingly. Upon becoming aware of legal infringements, we will remove such content immediately. ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── 11. NOTICE ON THE USE OF USER CONTRIBUTIONS ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── The respective user is solely responsible for content posted by users (listings, reviews, messages, images). To the extent legally permissible, Beezybee assumes no liability for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of user-generated content.
